Lodging Options

There are a number of hotel and motel options available nearby to each conference in both the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest. For those who would prefer to stay with members of the community, there are options to stay with friends and fellow workers.

Chicago, IL

Hostels:

Chicago Gateway Hostel  616 West Arlington Place, Chicago   Four Miles from Conference union hall.  $32.00

The Partenon Hostel 310 South Halstead Street  Chicago.  One Mile from Conference union hall.  $ 26.00 to $32.00

Motels:

Travel Inn: 1150 W Roosevelt Rd, Broadview, IL 60155 · South Maywood  (708) 681-2550    $70.00 single and $80.00 double

Motel 6 in Elk Grove: 1601 Oakton Street, Elk Grove Village, IL . Around $70.00 per night.

Priceline Listing of Inexpensive motels in the vicinity of the airports

Carlton Inn Motel  4944 South Archer at Pulaski. Within a 15 minute drive of the conference. Reasonable rates.

Extended Stay America Chicago – Midway Airport Motel.  7524 State Rd. | Bedford ParkIL  60638. 20 -25 minute drive to the conference.

 

 

Richmond

Motels:
1 — Civic Center Motel: Just 8 very short blocks away at 425 24th Street.  It is a bit of a dive but not necessarily unsafe.  $65 single – $77 double.   That is walking distance but every other better option is driving distance.
2 — Hotel Mac: Historic and beautifully restored at 10 Cottage Avenue in Point Richmond (expensive)
3 — Days Inn: Reasonable and clean from $68.00, a couple miles from the conference center at 5775 National Rd East.
4 — Richmond Economy Inn: 12572 San Pablo, similar to the Civic Center Motel and about mile away. $80.00 a night.
5 — America’s Best Value Inn: 1598 Carlson Blvd in Richmond.

Motels
